Through our interventions at Hands of God Widows Support Initiave, we are helping to address issues linked with SDGs 1, 3, 5, 8 & 17
Poverty is often considered a hallmark of widowhood. A report by the united nations posits that one in every ten widows in Sub-Saharan Africa lives in extreme poverty. In Africa, where societies are largely patriarchal, widows are often denied the right of inheritance.
Subjected to varied forms of harmful traditional practices, many widows are plunged into varied forms of health challenges.
Economic growth has been directly linked gender equality and social inclusion.
Widows and children of widows deserve the right to determine their economic independence. We actively support them through various skill acquisition and business support programs
We can only achive the global goal for gender equality through collaboration and partnership. Together we can achieve it.
